Refreshing But A Bit Frustrating

There are parts of this game that you'll absolutely love - mainly the Boss battles.  Those are all extremely polished and a lot of fun to play.  I loved every minute of those.  However, the game has a lot of negative areas that are extremely frustrating.  While I enjoyed the side jobs a bit initially - they get really boring because you have to repeat them over and over again.  The combat can also be pretty repetitive; granted the controls and wrestling moves mitigate this somewhat - I still would've preferred more variation.  I also didn't like the fact that a lot of the advanced controls aren't clearly explained.  I beat the game and still don't know how to reliably trigger "Dark Step" mode.

In thinking about it, the frustrating parts make you enjoy the awesome parts a lot more  so I guess it balances out for the better.  The game's ending is fabulous and the boss fights are awesome.  It's also a nice mature title in a universe dominated by family-friendly games.
