Dragon Age: Origins

1. Dragon Age: Origins

I never expected to like this type of game, but man is it compelling. It is tied with Batman for #1 for me.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

2. Batman: Arkham Asylum

So amazing.

Fallout 3

3. Fallout 3

I know it came out in 2008, but the expansions kept me playing well into 2009.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

4. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted 2 is pretty amazing, very fluid and surprising in a bunch of ways. The thing about Uncharted 2 is it almost doesn't feel like a game to me at all, which is both good and bad I guess. That being said, I finished in in 3 sessions because it always left me wanting to see what is next for Drake and company.

Red Faction: Guerrilla

5. Red Faction: Guerrilla

Fun. Stupid Fun. Exactly what I needed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Loved the single player, so many "oh sh*t" moments. The multiplayer is brutal, I will get nowhere on that until they fix the matchmaking system. Which they won't.

The Beatles: Rock Band

7. The Beatles: Rock Band

Great all around package. I know it could be "easy" but I will tell you what. The basslines are crazy on expert. 100%'d I saw Her Standing There... so fun.

Killzone 2

8. Killzone 2

For all it's faults, I had a real good time playing through this, twice.

Flower

9. Flower

Talk about a different kind of game or should I say experience.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

10. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

Most of the games I played this year seemed to be long, epic adventures. This one of course, is not that at all. It is tough to beat something as redonkulous as 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. It has ramps, skulls and he hates helicopters, a lot. The soundtrack is pretty awesome as well. Well played Mr. Cent. Well played.
