Holy cow I can't believe this is the sixth year I have done one of these lists. My goal every year is to attempt to try and actually finish more games by trying to beat more than the previous year. In 2015 I successfully completed more games than I did in 2014, but I still did not beat my record set in 2013.
I will quote my criteria from previous years.
As with every year I am counting games that I finish the story or campaign mode on, or whatever the equivalent may be. In some cases a game may not have a story mode, so I will count it if I finish every achievement or goal. In the case of some pinball machines (on Pinball Arcade) I will count them if I finish every standard and wizard goal.

First game finished and it was on January 1st. I had gotten a Retron 5 for Christmas so I decided to put it to the test by playing some Kirby on the Game Boy. I used the very same cartridge that I beat countless times as a kid when the game was first released.
Got the first season when it went up for free with Games With Gold. I had tried the basic free version when I first got my Xbox One but I wasn't digging it. Well since then they added a new feature to make combos a lot easier and in turn the game was more fun for me. I am not good at this game, not at all. I did however still have fun going through the games "story" mode with a few of the characters.
The original Frequency and Amplitude are some of my favorite PS2 games. As soon as this one went up on Kickstarter I threw my money in and anxiously awaited its release. Well it finally came out and I enjoyed it quite a lot, but for whatever reason it just didn't catch on with me as much as the original. I was a little bummed by the lack of both songs and ultimately challenge. It felt like it took me no time at all to not only beat the progression mode in this game, but I beat it three times in a row on different difficulties.
I finished this one on the Xbox One. I count this one as beaten since I finished every mission in single player and played quite a bit of the multiplayer. I ended up playing this with the 10 hour trial as a part of EA Access. I feel like that 10 hours has been plenty and will wait to actually purchase the game until it gets a decent price drop. Ultimately I think this game is super fun to actually play, but the lack of content really makes it not worth the $60.
I first beat this one back in 2013 when it was released on Xbox 360 as a part of Chronicles of Mystara. This time around I finished it on Steam as a part of the same package. This game is still a really fun beat 'em up and I will probably move on to Shadow Over Mystara again soon.
So I finished this one on the Xbox One with three friends on the realistic difficulty. This was hands down my least favorite campaign in all of the Call of Duty games. It felt like a boring slog through the same thing over and over. On top of that the story was REALLY dumb and over the top in ways that took it beyond campy fun and in to trying too hard to be serious. I would not suggest to anyone to play through this on realistic difficulty either, it was a test of patience for sure.
Finished this one on Steam thanks to Steam Family Share. I only recently finished the first of the re-boot series and was super pumped to play this one. It not only succeeded in being just as good as its predecessor, but managed to outshine it in just about every way. If you played and enjoyed the last one, PLAY THIS GAME!
This would be the first hidden object game beaten this year so far. I actually finished this one on the Xbox One. I thought it was kind of interesting to see a hidden object game on the Xbox One so I had to pick it up. I actually enjoyed this one, although it is pretty short and pretty standard fare for the genre. I ended up finishing it twice, and the bonus chapter to clean up all of the achievements.
So after I finished the first game in the series on the Xbox One I remembered that I had this one installed on my PC already. Usually I play games in order, but this time I didn't care too much what the story was anyway so I just played this one. It is remarkably similar to the first game in the series so there is not much else to say. I did end up filling in the wiki page though.
I am considering this one finished. Played the 360 version using backwards compatibility on Xbox One. I ended up picking up all the achievements in the game and made it to level 34 or something like that.
