Year 15 is here. This is a year I really want to try and finish more games. I get stuck playing ongoing live service games sometimes and really neglect my backlog. This year, with things like the Steam Deck and being able to remote play to pretty much anything from it I really want to get more done.
I will quote my criteria from previous years.
As with every year I am counting games that I finish the story or campaign mode on, or whatever the equivalent may be. In some cases a game may not have a story mode, so I will count it if I finish every achievement or goal. In the case of some pinball machines (on Pinball Arcade) I will count them if I finish every standard and wizard goal. I will also count a game beat if I put a ton of time into it if it has no way of finishing it. If the game is primarily multiplayer I will count it if I have finished all the achievements/trophies or possibly if the game has challenges or such.

I have started this game multiple times over the past few years and always seem to get distracted with something else before I get too far in. Well, thanks to my Steam Deck and being able to remote play my PS5 from it I have been able to finish this time. This is a very good game for short bursts of play. I really enjoyed this and plan on diving in to the next game soon.
Got this one in a Humble Bundle and decided to give it a shot. I do really enjoy these "puzzle box" style games. This one is fairly high quality, even if the puzzles are fairly simple. Took about 3.5 hours to finish it so it didn't over stay its welcome.
A small homebrew Game Boy game developed inspired by people and events from the Retro Achievements community. Not too much of a game here, a very short adventure game that really only has you exploring and talking to characters.
Another short game, but it is really interesting. A pretty simple gameplay loop, essentially playing Russian Roulette. The game adds more power ups and twists as you go through. I really enjoy working out what to do each round, especially in multiplayer, which is where I think this game really shines.
I haven't really played much of the original King of the Monsters. My main memories of the series is the second game on the SNES. Played the arcade version of this for Retro Achievements. I did enjoy my time with it, but it got pretty repetitive with some pretty unfair mechanics the further you get.
Added this to my wishlist on Steam before release because I thought it looked interesting. I saw that it released for a pretty low price so I went in blind on it. I love this style of game and it was a pretty good one of them. It was not very long, but for the price I felt like I really got my money out of it.
I had never played the original version of Night Slashers before, but I got this remake for pretty cheap. I really didn't think this one was very good as it felt pretty generic and got boring after a bit. I think a large part of it is the graphics are really not as good as the original graphics. It has a very...flash game or mobile game feel to it. I think I really want to go back and play the original, which honestly looks a lot better than this one.
This one was a hidden object style puzzle game from a series that is typically point-and-click adventure games. This is a pretty awful hidden object game. The pictures are really low-res, with really picky click spots. It really got quite boring once I got halfway through. I really wouldn't suggest this one, even to fans of hidden object games.
Finished this one on the Early Days Collection on my Steam Deck. This is as basic a Yu-Gi-Oh! game can get, but it was still enjoyable for what it was. It is incredibly easy, and it really only involves defeating each character 5 times.
Only finished this one on easy so far, but I do plan on playing it through multiple times. I had never even heard of the original, but I quite liked this one. I am fascinated by these kinds of shooters, but unfortunately I am not very good at them.
