Favorite multiplayer games of the 2010s

by fisk0

While most of my all time favorite online multiplayer games were released in the mid to late 90s, there have been a few in these last seven years that I've kept returning to.

I won't count recent re-releases of older games, like Duke Nukem 3D World Tour/Megaton Edition or Strife, which I've also spent a lot of time with.

Ace Combat Assault Horizon

1. Ace Combat Assault Horizon

While the fantastic capital conquest mode is no longer available, I'm still jumping in every now and then to have fun with the regular deathmatch modes.

Strike Vector

2. Strike Vector

As Strike Vector EX doesn't have a separate wiki entry, this is for both releases combined. While the player base dropped off fairly quickly, this is a wonderful Terminal Velocity style sci-fi air combat game.

Rise of the Triad

3. Rise of the Triad

The Steam Workshop maps gave this a long life for me, played it every week during their Saturday Night ROTT events for two years. Also, there's a cosmetic reload button - the pistol and submachineguns both have infinite ammo!
