I'm trying to think of a word to describe this game and the only one I can come up with is perfect. It's not actually perfect, but it's so close that it's difficult to tell at times.
This is everything I wanted out of a RE2 remake and more.
I love this game but goddamn does the misshapen claw I have to contort my hand into to play this optimally ever hurt.
Dumb plot stuff aside, this is the best strategy RPG I've played in years. Bonus dumb points for Byleth yelling "No hesitation!" before a critical hit and then proceeding to twirl their weapon around a few times before striking.
Pretty much exactly what I want out of this genre.
Starting to look a little dated but if that's the worst thing I have to say about it then it must be pretty good.
A little rough in spots but overall enjoyable.
I appreciate the ease at which I was able to learn a 100% combo with one character and then OCV people online only hours after buying the game.
Got Game Pass for Gears 5, but I enjoyed this more. The best value I've ever gotten out of $2.
Personally I'd prefer Titanfall 3 but I suppose I'll settle for this.
