Been a pretty dismal year game-wise for me. Didn't end up playing all that much and what I did play their were relatively few games that blew me away. Hoping I can even find 10 titles to list by years end.

You are forgiven bioware. What for? you know what.
PC version came out in early 2014 so technically a 2014 game for me! And DAMN was it awesome. That end boss fight holy crap.
Defense Grid 2 is more of Defense Grid 1 but better. So pretty much exactly what I wanted. An awesome game for podcast listening.
Technically a paid demo really but damn was it a fun one.
Didn't really live up to my expectations, hoped for a lot more content but between the new stuff and extra modes and improvements it was a good excuse to return to a game i already sunk an insane number of hours in to.
I loved games like Raiden and Raystorm as a kid and this was the first of those types I'd played in a long long time and despite its simplicity and shortness damn is it fun to replay.
Technically a late 2013 game but I absolutely loved it in 2014 when I finally picked it up. So damn fun. Shame the dlc kinda sucked.
I have never played Dark Souls 2 and I never will. The same can be said for Dark Souls 1. Yet never ever has their been two games I have watched so many hours of letsplay footage of between giant bomb and various youtube and twitch sources. Now I feel like I have to play Bloodborne.
Never before has exclusivity made me so mad. I haven't played it, and I may never get to play it but I'll keep on wanting to. Hopefully some day I can.
