Yoko Taro continues to be one of the best game storytellers in the business and nier just continues that trend. Music is great as well. Real gut wrenching experience when Peter Brown doesn't spoil it for you.
A buddy got me into FFXIV this year and it's been an incredible experience. Somehow they've done better storytelling in an online game than they ever have done in a single player game. World building has been fantastic too.

Amazing third wall breaking experience. Class trials are better than ever. A really interesting direction of authorial control in interactive media. Also some of the best cast in Danganronpa history
