Batman: Arkham Asylum

1. Batman: Arkham Asylum

A good Batman game? No. An unbelievably great Batman game? Yes. Excellent use of the license and they've brought back many of the voice actors from the 1990's animated series! With Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin reprising their roles, you can't go wrong!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The fastest selling product in the world's history doesn't disappoint with its huge amounts of unlockables, excellent online gameplay, and a single player experience that can stand out on its own Modern Warfare 2 is some of the most fun I've had while playing videogames.

Resident Evil 5

3. Resident Evil 5

A huge blast to play in Co-Op with a friend. The fun gameplay, scares, and action from Resident Evil 4 carries over easily into 5 with the thrilling conclusion to one of the series' most badass storylines.

Dragon Age: Origins

4. Dragon Age: Origins

The proper revival a classic RPG style, some of the most fleshed out characters in any video game, one of the greatest storylines of the year, and excellent game play make this one a keeper.

Empire: Total War

5. Empire: Total War

The best game in the total war series. Its addition of naval warfare and incredible depth makes this a real winner.

'Splosion Man

6. 'Splosion Man

One of the most ridiculous (and fun) games of the year. Starts off easy but the difficulty quickly starts piling on until everything builds up into a massive explosion of awesome...and meat.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

7. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

The return of those pesky plumbers! Inside Story fleshes out the villainy of Fawful and Bowser. It brings back the now classic style of the Mario & Luigi series while adding enough twists and new ideas to keep the series fresh and interesting.

Borderlands

8. Borderlands

Excellent Co-op game with a bazillion guns to find and use. Practically requires a second playthrough to get the entire experience, and there's no problem with that! Brick Smash!

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

9. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

The latest iteration of the Legend of Zelda franchise doesn't disappoint; it's quirky style of gameplay and interesting mechanics are tons of fun and perfect for all audiences. It has its faults but the overall quality of the game is fantastic.

A Boy and His Blob
