Due to my PC starting to show it's age and not many original games coming for Xbox One this year, I didn't play many 2017 games. The handful of games I did play, I played a lot of.
Here is my Top 5.

Popped my Destiny and Raid cherry all in one go. Everyone knows of Destiny 2's on going issues and the bad press it has received but after setting up a clan* and getting a good group of guys together to play with, there was no other experience quite like it for me this year. It had to be my #1. *(see the Giant Bomb D2 thread for info)
200 Hours of pure adrenaline sweat out through my palms. Looking forward to seeing where this game goes in the next year.
Fantastic chill out game. Switch your brain off and enjoy the immensely satisfying gameplay loop.
I made the switch this year from FIFA and didn't look back. It has it's flaws but the football gameplay is so much more satisfying.
I finally picked it up a few months ago and it's extremely well made. Really enjoyed the last game NWI made, 'Insurgency' and was not disappointed with this new foray into the WW2 setting.
