Holy crap!! I still remember seeing this the arcade for the first time. I think a choir started singing and a spotlight beamed down holy radiance. And then I played it and got my ass kicked so hard and I loved it all the more despite bitching about the difficulty. This game is #1 for so many reasons but ultimately comes before all other due to the nostalgia factor of playing one of the best games of all times (in any category) with my friends.
Really, this game should probably be #1 due to the deep, balanced, and fun fighting system. The Dreamcast version improves upon the arcade version and makes it an impeccable experience. Its sequels never managed to even come close to touching it. This game is about strategy, not about combos, Super Moves, or fatalities.
This game is AMAZING. A fighting game with weapons?!?!! Genius. Spent so much money at the arcade because of this one. This game made me like fighting games when Street Fighter only provided a passing interest.
A great sequel to Rival Schools: United by Fate. Just another fun filled game. Love the soccer guy's crazy combos.
It's rank comes from the fun factor. Just a fun game to play.
Combining elements of SS2 and SS3 for a better game.
Played the heck out of this. The first foray into 3D fighters that I thought was done really well. Doesn't stand the test of time very well though.
Best of the Soul Calibur sequels. Improved Create-a-character system the added a reasonable amount of replay value. The star wars factor was stupid however.
Didn't love this one, a let down after SS2 but Hanzo was pretty fun and extremely easy to win with.
I'm not a great Street Fighter player but I did enjoy this game. Zangief crushes all... if he can get in range.
