2016 is going to be awesome. Honestly, I can't remember the last time a year had so many potential releases I was excited for (except maybe 2015 before everything got pushed back?) This is a list of games that should/might/better come out this year, and why I'm excited for them. If anything, it'll be fun looking at this in December and laughing at how optimistic I was

Played the three betas and I can't wait to get my hands on this. I keep telling myself this is the year I get good at fighters.
Fell in love with how great Xrd looked and how cool that game was. More of that isn't a bad thing.
Tekken Revolution really got me into Tekken, I've been waiting for a proper console release for quite some time.
I always thought Versus XIII looked more interesting than FF13 proper. Blown away that this game is still coming out, and that the long wait may finally be over.
Since Virtue's Last Reward came out, Danganronpa came out of nowhere and ate it's lunch while Uchikoshi was writing an anime about panty shots. Still, it'll be nice to see this story come to a close.
The lunch eater. When V3 was announced I was skeptical about their decision to create a new standalone story. After playing Another Episode I am thrilled about this decision.
Expecting this to be announced and dropped this holiday, it's time right? First one was awesome but there wasn't enough there. This should be huge.
Probably Ghosts 2. Look, Ghosts was pretty bad but that ending sequence is ridiculous even for Call of Duty standards, I have to see what happens next. I skipped Black Ops 3, first one I've skipped since before Modern Warfare. Probably setting the bar too high for this one, but imagine if they nail it.
The first one was a game that blew me away and reminded me why Mass Effect 3's multiplayer was cool.
Assuming Level 5 follows the same formula they did for Layton, release them yearly but years behind. The first game was fun, but this is the one that supposedly blew everyone away in Japan.
