Following the release of Reaper of Souls and the Seasons update, I put in countless hours of Diablo III (on top of the countless hours I already had in the game). It was, hands down, the go-to socialize-and-play-games-with-friends of 2014 for me.
I was deathly sick when Dark Souls II came out and plowed through a bunch of it. It can't really hold a candle to the first Dark Souls, but boy, it introduces some really fascinating ideas.
