Transistor

1. Transistor

I don't know man. It's not as good as Bastion, but man is it a pretty game. The story is a little lacking. The combat didn't hook me. But I put it as my #1 because the art and music are outstanding. The game is solid, but I found myself staring at the game more than playing it. I don't know. Get out of here 2014.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

2. Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

I liked the writing, the story, the gameplay, the setting, the music, it just hooked me.

Banished

3. Banished

It's a peaceful little city builder. I played it from time to time throughout the year and never got far, but I always enjoyed the time I put in.

Dreamfall Chapters

4. Dreamfall Chapters

The writing for this game is fantastic. I am really looking forward to the next books.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War

5. Valiant Hearts: The Great War

I got frustrated with a couple puzzles, but overall I thought this was a short but sweet experience. I had to pet the doggy a lot though.

The Banner Saga

6. The Banner Saga

Bleak but beautiful. Despite the dark cloud hanging over every player action, I wanted this game to be longer.

Sunset Overdrive

7. Sunset Overdrive

It's goofy and over the top, but I had fun with it.

Silent Hills

8. Silent Hills

Halloween was cold as balls, so we made due by playing PT. I had so much fun with this teaser I put it on the list. Also, Dave Lang getting spooked was pretty great.

Nidhogg

9. Nidhogg

This game is so simple yet so intense.

Roundabout

10. Roundabout

I included this mainly because of the super dumb fmv.
