Favorite in-game music! (Not ranked)

Games added to this list are subjects of having included great music in-game, which in the sense "great", would mean that either the composer(s) have done a mighty fine job or the music is just generally in really good use throughout the game.

...Or the music is just correct according to my personal taste.

The rebirth of those 8-bit classics sound awesome!

Mass Effect

3. Mass Effect

The atmospharic and ambiance-focused tracks from Mass Effect truly does the trick. In particular the one when you die and the "death-screen" shows.

Fallout 3

4. Fallout 3

The soundtrack here really sets the mood to the game. Strong orchestral sounds which really fills out the 50's inspired style Bethesda was going for.

Red Dead Redemption

5. Red Dead Redemption

Man, there is a lot of great music in this game! Both the original soundtrack as well as the Jose Gonzalez and Jamie Lidell songs which are perfectly placed in what really can only be described as the most creative and best used music for a game sequence ever.

Portal

6. Portal

There ain't much music in this game really. So it feels kinda weird putting it on this list. But DAMN! When that ambiance super awesome chills down the spine music gets rolling -- it's sets the mood so fast I didn't even think it was possible.

Trine

The music in this game is sooo suiting! I don't want to call the music atmospheric, but I still want to use a similar word to describe how it sounds. Really adventure sounding. In other words -- fits perfectly with this incredible sidescroller adventure game.

World of Goo

8. World of Goo
