Mass Effect 2

1. Mass Effect 2

Great story, great characters, amazing presentation, and a gameplay system that ties it all together. How could this NOT be my number 1 pick for 2010's Game of the Year?

Rock Band 3

2. Rock Band 3

the definitive music rhythm game for our time!

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

3. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

The best JRPG I've played since Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast.

Red Dead Redemption

4. Red Dead Redemption

The way the west was won... or at least, the battle for wild west video games. Definitely the way it should be done right here.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

5. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

Never before have I had such a great time with an RTS. I HATE RTS games, and I loved Starcraft II, you know it has to be good then.

Super Meat Boy

6. Super Meat Boy

Talk about your THROWBACK HARDCORE PLATFORMER! I'm a sucker for these kinds of games, and everything from the music to the platforming difficulty is really awesome. Let's not forget about those great cutscenes.

Halo: Reach

7. Halo: Reach

Multiplayer that will last for a while, and a great story to boot. Definitely the best Halo game since the first one.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

8. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

The Assassin's Creed story is always amazing, and this is no exception. Loving the direction they took, and the multiplayer is fun too.

9. Alan Wake

Alan Wake is nothing sort of amazing, with so many well polished details, the game absolutely shines, even if it is over kind of quick.

Heavy Rain

10. Heavy Rain

A great narrative, and one of my favorite experiences of 2010, although the Engish voice acting is a bit shoddy, and it doesn't lend itself well to replay value.
