This is my personal Game of the Year list. As the entries will reveal, this year has been a bit of a slow point in my game-playing hobby. A new job that required a lot of extra hours, as well as a couple of new hobbies and interests, meant that I dedicated less time than usual to video games. The biggest limiting factor, however, was that I have yet to purchase a new console. Without a decent PC, consoles remain the main way I consume most of my gaming content, and I am just not ready to throw down the hard cash to purchase a current-generation machine. Hopefully that will change in 2015!

Fast, fun, challenging, and addictive. This gem was also great for short 10-15 minutes bursts.
This game sucked me in for weeks. It was another great game for short breaks...though sometimes those breaks turned into hours and hours of matches.
Good for short breaks. Noticing a pattern to this list yet?
Loot, loot, and more loot. Since I didn't catch the original release, this was a welcome addition to the year.
I wasn't always won over by the mechanics nor by the story, but enough worked well together to make it a memorable experience.
