Bioshock has one of the greatest stories and atmospheres of all time, videogame or not. The game could have mediocre gameplay and I would still love it but fortunately Bioshock has fantastic shooting and puzzle gameplay.
I had never really liked RPGs in the past so I wasn't sure what to expect but I soon got immersed in one the biggest worlds in any videogame ever. As of today I have completed every single quest in the whole game and it took me around 400 hours, 400 very fun hours.
The debate about which Mario game is the best is a tough one to pick sides on but I had no problem choosing Super Mario World. Everything from the graphics to the level design is perfect in every way. There's not really much else to say.
I didn't first play Halo until about 2 years after it came out. Oh man, what I was missing out on. From late night splitscreen matches to the intense warthog gauntlet at the end of the game every single aspect of this game is incredible. It's hard to believe that a game that came out almost 7 years ago is better than most games that come out this generation.
The Metal Gear Solid series is known for having a crazy and interesting story while lacking in gameplay. However MGS3 changes that with a whole new survival system, creative boss fights, an open world, and the same great story from previous Metal Gear Solid games. The experience of playing through MGS3 is one the most memorable I've ever had.
