Super Mario Galaxy 2

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Original ideas for the new game stuff

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

2. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

A game that justified buying a new PC

VVVVVV

3. VVVVVV

Fantastic level design - great value for money

Final Fantasy XIII

4. Final Fantasy XIII

Epic story - I enjoyed the combat engine (after the first 20 hours of pressing x)

Sid Meier's Civilization V

5. Sid Meier's Civilization V

A refined version of a classic with some brave changes (for a Civ game), but suffered from a "beta" feel on release, although nice to see a game supported well post release.

Super Meat Boy

6. Super Meat Boy

Would have come higher if VVVVVV hadn't been released a month before it.

Everyday Genius: SquareLogic

7. Everyday Genius: SquareLogic

Nice to see some nice design behind what is essentially just another sudoku game. Puzzle variety and tight controls make this game worth checking out... if you are a fan of number placing puzzles.

Limbo

8. Limbo

The only game on my list that I haven't played, (watched other people play through it twice!), good design

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

9. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Let down by poor achievements, (way too easy to S-rank)

Dance Central

10. Dance Central

The tech behind the hardware deserves a place in the top ten, if not necessarily the games. This game isn't a bad first attempt though.
