Best of 2012

Some of the games I loved in 2012, in no particular order...

Showing 1-10 of 13 items

Journey

1. Journey

Awesome game. Loved the experience of being in the world. The game moved me.

The Walking Dead

2. The Walking Dead

Not done with the entire thing yet, but the game is great. Not for the mechanics or the interactions. More for the story. I am a fan of the comic book and TV series.

Borderlands 2

3. Borderlands 2

I've spent over 50 hours on this game all ready; I'm loving every minute. Awesome Shooter!

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

4. Call of Duty: Black Ops II

This is the first time COD has made one of these lists for me and it's because the multiplayer in THIS title has sucked me in like no other has. Not since COD 4, have I been so obsessed.

Diablo III

5. Diablo III

You may hate this game but it is TRULY one of the best PC titles that came out this year. It's level of polish and detail are unparalleled in ANY game of this type.

Torchlight II

6. Torchlight II

I've sunk so many hours into this game that it had to make it on my game of the year list. None of my characters are above level 20 but I do have one character for each class. I love just jumping in and doing a dungeon or two. Awesome title.

Mass Effect 3

7. Mass Effect 3

I am a big Mass Effect fan. I even once said that Mass Effect 2 was the best game of all time. I really did love this game, DLC, endings and all.

Forza Horizon

8. Forza Horizon

One of my favorite driving games of all time. I love the handling and most of the open world. I just wish they had ditched the throw away story and added a few more events. It was certainly excellent, if a little short.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown

9. XCOM: Enemy Unknown

XCOM has got to be my strategy game of the year. I loved it. Even if it is soul crushingly hard.

Halo 4

10. Halo 4

If BLOPS2 got the vote for best multiplayer mechanics. Halo 4 gets it for everything else. The story is great, the graphics are incredible, and while this game feels more like an end to the original Halo trilogy than a reboot of the franchise. I'm still in it, let's go Chief.
