BertieWooster: Best of 2010

Caveat: This list is limited to games I have actually played. Seems silly, but there are others (Red Dead, Fallout: NV, Alan Wake, NBA Jam, Mario Galaxy 2) that I'm sure would make it, but I haven't actually got to them yet. Crazy, especially considering I own some of those, or am expecting them for X-Mas, but the list is the list.

Mass Effect 2

1. Mass Effect 2

By a hair, over #2 on this list.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

2. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Fantastic, and the multiplayer is surprisingly addictive.

3. BioShock 2

Underrated. Not the groundbreaking narrative experience of the first, but still very, very good.

Darksiders

4. Darksiders

Fun from the first frame.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

5. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

A welcome return and a new addiction for the 2010s.

Costume Quest

6. Costume Quest

Charm and whimsy, hilarious and surprisingly playable as well (for a decidedly non-turn-based-RPG fan).

3D Dot Game Heroes

7. 3D Dot Game Heroes

8 bit nostalgia. Tough, but enjoyable.

Kirby's Epic Yarn

8. Kirby's Epic Yarn

The cats love watching this. Tons of fun to boot.

Heavy Rain

9. Heavy Rain

Almost on the list in spite of itself. Really enjoyed it, flaws and all, but I almost enjoy it more for the wave of imitators I hope it inspires.

Alpha Protocol

10. Alpha Protocol

Y'know what, yeah, it's busted, but there are some FANTASTIC moments throughout if you're willing to work for them. I've done a full playthrough, but still feel like I've only seen a sliver of what the game has to offer - in a good way. In the way that you want to jump right back into. So yeah, it makes the top ten - with a bullet.
