Mass Effect 3

1. Mass Effect 3

The finale in what may be the greatest trilogy in videogame history when all is said and done. It doesn't need to do much, just be as good as the previous two games.

Batman: Arkham City

2. Batman: Arkham City

Who would have thought the Metroid formula could be applied so well to a Batman game? Rocksteady needs to capture the magic of its previous Batman game. If they succeed, City will be a great success. If they find a way to up it... we will have something really special on our hands. If it's great, lets hope they can convince Hamill to come back for a part 3.

The Last Story

3. The Last Story

This one isn't getting much attention outside of Japan, but just take a look at a few videos or articles on this game, and tell me it doesn't look fantastic. The first (and last) directorial gig by Hironobu Sakaguchi in almost two decades looks to be his finest hour.

Resident Evil: Revelations

4. Resident Evil: Revelations

As someone who loved Resident Evil 4 and really enjoyed 5, and whose gaming existence revolves around portables, Revelations looks to be right up my alley. Since the day the Gamecube died, I've been secretly praying Nintendo would build a portable that played GCN discs, so I could take my 4 on the go. Well that hasn't happened, and the phone version is crap, but this seems to be the next best thing. Even better, it seems to be a return to more of the scares and thrills of the original three (four RE0).

Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo - Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu

5. Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo - Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu

I'll take my Fire Emblem where I can get it. Effectively the swan song for the richest console library I've ever seen.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

6. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

I was blown away by Deus Ex at E3, and doubly so at PAX when for some reason I went to sit in on the Square Enix press conference. This isn't typically my kind of game, but the more i watched the videos, the more I realized it looked like a lot of fun, similar to last year's conviction.

The 3rd Birthday

7. The 3rd Birthday

I'm a big fan of Aya Brea's character, and even though this is on the PSP, I'll get Parasite Eve anywhere I can get it.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

8. Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

The return. Can't agree with all the new character choices (she-Hulk? really?) but nothing can stop this from being a fantastic game.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

9. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Get this: I haven't played the previous 2 Uncharted games yet, but this is still number 9. That's how powerful the hype train for this series has been. Lets hope they haven't ruined my perspective, because I fully expect to have played the previous two by the time this comes out.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

10. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I'm really interested to see where they go with the new controls, new look, and new story twist. Will it be enough new though?
