I'm bored and I've had Pokemon on the brain lately, so I decided to make a little list of my favorite Pokemanz through the first seven generations.

The champ! has a good typing with a lot of versatility and hangs tough. It also helps that it's one of the rare three-form line where all three stages are good designs.
Look at this mischievous fox with long hair. Sure the illusion ability isn't that useful at the end of the day but it's a cool gimmick.
Among legendaries there has yet to be one as graceful and majestic as Suicune. I don't usually add legendaries to my team but Suicune is an exception.
It's a martial arts monkey that also has flames coming out of his head. No further explanation necessary. (Suck it Charizard)
I don't know if I would have ever picked up Pokemon if this cannon-equipped turtle hadn't graced the cover of Blue. And after hundreds of additional Pokemon added over the year, this OG still stands out as being a really simple but effective design.
That helmet. That beard. It's the Samurai Otter.
A big bat with a good color scheme and sonar dishes for ears.
The grass companion to Blastoise. I like turtles.
Just a strong dragon Pokemon.
Scyther? Meh. Steel coated Scyther? Holy crap that's cool! Best bug Pokemon.
