When I was a child, there was no game I owned that I hadn't tried mining for fun. Whether it was Battletoads, Duck Hunt, Bionic Commando or even Sesame Street 123/ABC, you could be certain I played it if I got the chance. These days are no more. Whether its an inevitable result of more financial freedom (i'm a sucker for sales) and more responsibilities (like work and Giant Bomb videos) meeting or how intimidating its become to think about digging into the stack, a (shudder) backlog has formed. I'm feeling more and more ashamed of how large the backlog has gotten, and how many good (reputedly) games are in it. I feel like it might be cathartic to show how bad it's gotten in a public forum, so here goes: These are the games I own, but haven't played.

It was a great Black Friday sale! 2 Black Fridays ago... I was trying to finish Dragon's Dogma and Kingdoms of Amalur before I got into yet another fantasy game. And then I never finished either of those games... Goddamn it.
Yup, a hat trick of shame in one handy package. Wanted to learn what all the nostalgic love was about, still haven't.
Still not sure I should be ashamed of this one. But I have to know... is it really THAT bad?
I keep telling myself I'm just waiting for the right night to play it. Then when a good one comes along, I remember I'm a wuss about horror games. What was I thinking?
No really, what the hell was I thinking? Cheap or no, I have no idea.
This one hurts because it's all my prides fault. I'm stuck getting my ass mollywhopped in one section of the first game, and refuse to turn down the difficulty. It doesn't help that I keep going away from it for a month and expecting to be good.
The demo was really cool.
This one would bother me more if I liked Uncharted more, I just think it's alright. I'm almost done with 2 though, so maybe soon...
I totally meant to play this. Instead I didn't and lent it to a friend so I could hear him talk about it and put it back on my shelf. Madness.
Well I'm not going to play them out of order am I? What am I, an animal?
