MERCH!
Giant Bomb - a website about video games and the people that make them

CHOON!

Zealously subjective. Mostly C64, I forget the details (and a little investigating reveals better explanations can be found on similar lists on this site already) but a lot of the originals exploited specific hardware glitches, at the time this lead to problems when Commodore silently revised C64s and fixed the "mistakes" songwriters relied on, emulators haven't made the process any simpler so don't be surprised if whole channels seem to disappear and return seemingly arbitrarily and in a very jarring unmusical way when browsing longplays on youtube.

The Last Ninja

Especially Level 2, and with the exception of the Palace Gardens Dirge. Don't forget the loaders.

Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance

Wizkid: The Story of Wizball II

3. Wizkid: The Story of Wizball II

Amiga, especially level 1.

Miami Vice

4. Miami Vice

C64, it's down to the original being so good, but I didn't know that at the time, funny how I just judged the Beverly Hills Cop one to be a lousy knock off cos I'd heard that first *shrugs.

Mutants

5. Mutants

The only song begins near the beginning of a characteristically long C64 load and isn't interrupted when the loading finished. Furthermore the game skips the title/attract mode/high score miscellany once loaded, going straight into a new game.

Firefly
