This is a good game, but its not for people who like grinding and questing for XP in games like WoW or AoC. You have to wait for your skills to level, and some people are not going like that aspect of the game. Some people will enjoy not having to devote hours a day to gain level however, which is good. The game looks great, plays great, and has a large following who don't want to go play WoW or any other MMO anytime soon. The game is updated on a regular basis with free expansions that come out around every 6 months. So with a good online community, lasting appeal, great game play, graphics and sound, this game is something that if you're at all interested in, should give a try.
This game is great for people wanting a realife experience of battle, but for those like Me, who want fast pasted action, to engage in ( for lack of better words) "house-house" action, this game is clunky and doesn't offer the gameplay you like. Add to that crashing issuses, slow menus, and the longest loading times I've ever seen in a FPS , and this game just seems to fall short of its true potential. I do realize that some people enjoy realism games, and this game offers that in a way you will enjoy. In the end though, all that matters is your own preferences, and if you like this sort of game, it does the job well.
This was the game which sold me my Xbox 360, no joke, the week this came out, I bought my 360 and this, and it really is a great way to have your first experience with a console. The graphics, the sound and the gameplay do not disapoint. The multiplayer wasn't really my style, but the singleplayer made getting this game worth it. A must own for people who own a 360 and like playing shooters.
This game is all about style, the characters are secondary compared to the explosions and combat. This game is about running full tilt into an enemy base with a tank or bag full of C4 and leveling everything till there's nothing left. Its a great game for how long it lasted (around 6 -8 hours) and its definitly worth checking out if you want to see how an arcade style shooter should be done.
Xbox Verison. The first game of three which re-started the whole franchise of PoP. A very interesting game where as the Prince, you can rewind time whether you rewind after falling off a cliff or after an enemy strikes you with a killing blow. The combat in this game is good but slow, never putting more than three enemies on screen at any given time for you to fight, giving the game a swash-buckling feel to it. It also has a very unique color design with a glow-like afect on the entire game, as if you were running through a dream. The environments themselves are inventive and satisfy the player throughout the game. Overall, a really relaxing and great game, even with the crazy sand-of-time zombies running around.
This is a very well made mech simulator; I say simulator because this game really does away with the arcady mech games of the past and replaces it with a "so relistic its almost boring" mech game. The game introduces 3 types of mechs, scout, assult, and heavy mechs, which have their pros and cons. The real reason that this game is amazing is the freedom the game gives when creating your own custom mechs, and you can make any mech you want, as long as the parts (1000s of parts by the way) fit together. A great game for those patient enough to enjoy creating mechs to use online.
PC version. Plays well and has great voice acting and character development. But was always too easy. You could jump over every enemy and just punch them in the back of the head!
This is not a game. This is a steal, really, when you buy this, you'll feel like a god damn crook. Why? Because you get 5 games for $60.... valve is out of their god damn minds ! They could easily sell this with only Half Life 2, EP1 and EP2 for that money, but then they go ahead and tag on Portal, TF2?!?! Really if you have any interest in FPS's, you will agreee that this was the title to own when it came out.
