From the star, to the random bum on the streets, all my favorite RPG characters I can find/think of/happen to see on here will be added.

Atton Rand

1. Atton Rand

A smart-mouthed scoundrel with a darker past then he wants to admit. Atton faces his past and overcomes it, becoming a Jedi Knight. He is a deep character with a lot of emotion and drive. Overall, he is my favorite character from either Knights of the Old Republic games.

Tali'Zorah nar Rayya

2. Tali'Zorah nar Rayya

Possibly my favorite Mass Effect character, though Garrus comes pretty close. She's smart, funny, and capable and is one of the more endearing characters in gaming.

Capell

3. Capell

Transforming from a cowardly flute player into a legitimate hero, Capell is one of the best.

Garrus Vakarian

4. Garrus Vakarian

How can you not love Garrus? I mean, come one. He's definitely one of the coolest gaming characters out there.

Balthier

5. Balthier

The self-professed "leading man" of Final Fantasy 12, Balthier was my favorite character in said game.

Visas Marr

6. Visas Marr

A Sith assassin who attacks you early in the game and then joins your party, eventually becoming a Jedi. Visas was a little weird at first, but in the end she became one of my favorites.

Yuna

7. Yuna

I thought Yuna was a little bland when I started playing Final Fantasy X, but as the story progressed her quirky and awesome personality came through. Her summoning abilities were really cool, as well.

Lightning

8. Lightning

Lightning is my favorite lead character in a Final Fantasy game, and possibly my favorite female lead in any game period. It was nice to see the tough-as-nails soldier role fulfilled by a woman, and even cooler when you see walls drop down and get to know her character and past. It made her seem so much more human and real, which is of course the ultimate goal when developing a character. She's one BA chica.

Thane Krios

9. Thane Krios

He was really about the opposite of what I expected "The Assassin" to be like. He's a deep character with a lot of emotion, although he hides it. Probably my third favorite Mass Effect character, behind Garrus and Tali.

Snow Villiers

10. Snow Villiers

Snow plays off like the easy-going guy that doesn't let anything get to him, and like Lightning, it was cool seeing the facade come down and get to know his character. Plus, he can take out tanks with his bare hands. Snow's a beast.
