Genesis

1. Genesis

(1993 - 1997) The Sega Megadrive straight up WAS my childhood, I have spent more time on these than any other console ever. It had everything I ever wanted. Platformer? Sonic 2 & Dynamite Heady! Shooter? Tiger Shark & Thunderforce IV! Puzzle? Columns & Mean Bean Machine! Strategy? Cannon Fodder & Worms! Racing? Micro Machines 2 & Virtua Racing! The MD had it all & I will remember it always...

Nintendo 64

2. Nintendo 64

(1998 - present day) I remember watching my cousin playing Goldeneye & Pilotwings on his N64 & thinking "I need one of those!", nuff said.

GameCube

3. GameCube

(2002 - present day) I got my Gamecube the week it launched, I spent 2 hours walking from shop to shop trying to find one that hadn't sold out. I eventually went into a branch of WHsmith who only had a single black one left. I snatched it up & took it home & it sits on my shelf to this day. Seriously one of the most underrated systems ever. WW > TP any day

Commodore 64

4. Commodore 64

(1992 - 1994) This was the first gaming system I ever owned & I loved it. Sure it used to take a good 15 mins to load a game & they weren't the best looking either but it was all I had & I was gonna make the most of it dammit! Ghostbusters, Mine layer, Dizzy & Little Computer People were my Favorites.

Game Boy Advance

5. Game Boy Advance

(2001 - 2006) The GBA was incredible, so many games & so little time to play them. The titles that stick out most in my mind are Pokemon Ruby, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, V-rally 3, Yoshi's Island & Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

SNES

6. SNES

(2004 - 2008) Yeah that's right, I got my first Snes in 2004 & I was blown the fuck away. Some of the most serious gaming hours of my life were spent playing Yoshi's Island & Super Turrican... it was rad. Last year I put it up in the loft & that's where it now sits... alone... waiting.

PlayStation

7. PlayStation

(1998 - 2001) I have very fond memories of my first PlayStation. My favorite games were Crash Bandicoot 2, Time Crisis, Soul Blade, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid & Tombi. That was before it broke though which is what convinced me to buy a Dreamcast.

Saturn

8. Saturn

(1996 - 1998) I know what your thinking, "Saturn above the Dreamcast!!?!?!111? WTF!1". Well yeah that's how it goes because it was my childhood & it's my list so SUCK IT!!1! Anyway let's be serious for a minute. The Saturn was a great system for it's time despite what people say nowadays, remember it had games like Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop, Street Fighter Alpha, Quake & Gungriffon. Also for a while it had all the must have PS1 titles too such as Wipeout, Resident Evil, Duke Nukem, Alien Trilogy & Tomb Raider etc. So as a Sega fan growing up in the 90's... yeah it was the shit.

Dreamcast

9. Dreamcast

(2001 - 2002) I got my 1st Dreamcast in 2001, months before it was discontinued & although I only had it for a year I loved it. I had all the hits, Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Crazy Taxi 2, Shenmue, Virtua Fighter 3 & hydro thunder among them. I would trade it all in 12 months later to help me buy a Gamecube.

BBC Micro

10. BBC Micro

(1991 - 1993) The First time I ever played a video game was 'Granny's Garden' for the BBC Micro, I was 4 years old & I would never be the same again...
