Originally founded in March 2001, Three Rings developed a number of games independently before being acquired by SEGA in 2011. In March 2016, Three Rings officially shut down following layoffs at SEGA, with each of their still-active games being transferred to other companies. Following the closure, a number of Three Rings employees would form Grey Havens, LLC, with the express purpose of maintaining former Three Rings titles.
