Tetris Forever is a classic game compilation developed and digitally published by Digital Eclipse for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 12, 2024.

The third installment of Digital Eclipse's Gold Master Series of "interactive documentaries", Tetris Forever celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Tetris (Franchise) series of falling-block puzzle games. Interweaved with historical documents and behind-the-scenes videos, the compilation features several of the earliest games in the series (most of which are Bullet-Proof Software releases), as well as a new game (known as Tetris Time Warp).

Game List

Tetris Time Warp

Created solely for this collection, Tetris Time Warp plays like modern Tetris. However, at certain points, the game drops a piece that resembles those from an older Tetris game, and clearing a line including one of those blocks enters a "Time Warp" mini-game in which players have a limited amount of time to complete a goal for bonus points.

The Time Warps include:

  • 1984 - Resembles the Electronika 60 Tetris.
  • 1989 - Resembles the Game Boy Tetris.
  • 1993 - Resembles the Super Bombliss games, with the Bombliss rules.

This version has multiple single-player and multiplayer modes, including:

  • Time Warp Score Attack - Endless. Time Warps are enabled.
  • 3-Min Time Attack - 3 Minutes. Time Warps are enabled, and stop the clock.
  • Modern Marathon - 150 Lines. Time Warps are disabled. A 40-Line Attack version was added on February 26, 2025.
  • 1989 Marathon - 150 Lines. Time Warps are disabled, but the game is in the permanent "1989" mode. A 40-Line Attack version was added on February 26, 2025.
  • Multiplayer Vs. - Standard 2-4 player garbage-row multiplayer with a twist: Time Warps are sent to opponents without changing their board, limiting their playstyle while giving them a goal to return their board back.
