In comic books Superman is known as The Man of Steel, The Last Son of Krypton, and The Man of Tomorrow. In video games he is known as a curse, bringing mediocrity wherever he goes.

Standing for truth, justice, and the American way, Superman (Character) is more than just a comic book, superhero.  He is a cultural icon, representing the values and strengths that have made America the country it is today.  In video games, however, Superman is a different icon. He stands for average, subpar, and even down-right awful.  Superman games have a reputation of not living up to his heroic standards yet alone a good game. This so called 'curse' is almost as deadly as Kryptonite, robbing Superman of his ability to stand out among his peers as a role model for what a superhero, or game, should be.
