Story of Seasons
Story of Seasons is the latest Harvest Moon title and allows players to fully create their own character from scratch. XSEED will be bringing the game to North America in 2014.
Overview
Story of Seasons (Bokujō Monogatarii: Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi, or Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land in English) is the second game in the Bokujō Monogatari franchise to be released for the Nintendo 3DS (Platform). The game was published by Marvelous AQL in Japan on February 27, 2014 and XSEED released the game in North America on March 31st 2015. Nintendo of Europe will take on publishing duties for the European release of the game in Q1 2016.
Localization Trademark Issues
Natsume (Company), the publisher of previous localizations of the Harvest Moon series, owns the Harvest Moon trademark in North America. Because XSEED does not have the rights to the name, the localization will not feature any reference to the Harvest Moon brand. Therefore, the game has been given the English language title Story of Seasons. Similarly, when XSEED localized Rune Factory 4 (Game), the game did not feature the franchise's traditional subtitle under Natsume, "A Fantasy Harvest Moon".
