    Salamence is first introduced as a new species inhabiting the Hoenn Region within the Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire and Emerald Versions.

    • Salamence is actually lighter than its pre-evolution, Shelgon. Its base defense stat is also lower, at 80 compared to Shelgon's 100.
