    Along with his younger brother Richard, Robert Garriott founded Origin Systems in 1983 to continue publishing and developing the Ultima series after Richard ended his relationship with Sierra Online. 
     
    In 1992, Origin was acquired by Electronic Arts, and Robert remained with the company for three years.  In 2000, he and Richard founded Destination Games, which was later purchased by NCSoft.   In 2007, Robert became the CEO of NCSoft North America, but was replaced after the creation of NCSoft West in 2008.
