Revive

CONCEPT

The concept of reviving somebody who is dead or down.

In gameplay, revival usually consists of the player or another character who has died or lost all of his/her health being brought back to life. This can happen automatically after death in lieu of reloading a previous checkpoint or saved game. However, sometimes revival requires another character to help the player or vice-versa.

Revival can also be used as a plot mechanic, where a character is brought back to life through a cutscene or the like in order to advance the story.
