    Overview

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition is an enhanced port of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly being developed by Tecmo Koei and published by Nintendo for the Wii. It's set for release on June 28 in Japan and June 29, 2012 in Europe.

The updated version features motion controls, a brand new Haunted House mode for two players, support for a second player to help out during the story mode via assist-play, enhanced graphics and slight tweaks to the level design to make the game scarier, according to info from an Iwata Asks feature. The first person mode from the Xbox port of the original game seems to not be included in this version.

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition features a special connection to the 3DS game Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir. Players can unlock special content in Project Zero 2 by scanning the back of the instruction manual with the 3DS's camera in Spirit Camera.

    Haunted House Mode

In this Wii-exclusive mode, the player makes their through a haunted house and a second player can use another controller to scare the main player by making the Player 1 remote shake or have ghosts appear. Events are randomized and player movement occurs on-rails and is controlled by a single button press (hold to move, let go to stop). Player 1 can look around freely by moving the remote.
