EA Sold Limited Edition Copies in New Zealand and a load of them only had Normal Version of the game Codes. Expansion and update out and I am one of the people stuck not able to play the new maps etc because of this.

EA say to email or contact them with load of photo proof stuff. I like others have done the email, tried live chat, their tiwtter, facebook and people are either only getting offered a discount of the expansion or just totally ignored.

I was in the chat queue for 3 hours and gave up, tried again when it was 50 minutes, got to speak to someone who then terminated the chat before even saying anything. I gave a number to call, their site said they would call between 5 and 11 minutes - Never happened. Email still not replied to and ignored through every other means.

Pretty god dam appalling. I am not alone either.

I not read through all the comments so sorry if someone has already posted this:

This sums up the whole thing perfectly, even Mentions Jeff.

End of the day only way these will work or will be taken seriously if a regular well respected panel form a limited range of awards that target the correct and important aspects of games and awards them to the right people.

The public then need to know what they are. If someone says to you "This movie has oscars" then you know it is either good or has a good story and very boring. So any video game award needs to also be known by average gaming Joe and not just the elite.

"Spike game award winner" On a video game box means nothing to me, I care not!

I like posting just something, Not to much information in it and watching threads flow. Always interesting.

In terms of Half Life, Both games had great elements but I always felt they were to flat. G-Man is a great character but always under used and no other character felt they had any life.

Freeman is an awesome character but all the good stuff about him has come outside of the actual games.

G-Man always reminds me of Captain Black, lol.

Interesting how no one really cares about half life any more. I think it must have been the bad job they did on the characters and the story etc and so looking back you do not really care about them. Not like picking up where Master Chief left off and find out what is going on with him again.

Oh, here is why this is fake:

A: The logo is wrong. Look to your left. My avatar has the lambda clearly placed in the large circle, with the number relegated to the small one. The only reason to switch them is that you are trying to draw attention to the 3ness.

B: That shirt is clearly newly printed AND way too small for the person wearing it. Why would you go out wearing a shirt that is so clearly uncomfortable?

C: Wow, it sure was easy to get a well lit photo of the shirt without anybody noticing!!!!

D: Valve is not run by idiots. They are not going to print off and hand out shirts for an unannounced game that is going to be a huge deal. Even if they did, no employee is going to wear them in public. Why? Because Valve's hiring policies would never allow such a person through the door. Every single employee is chosen based on a dedication to the Valve vision. There are no disgruntled employees to mess things up, because Valve has a 97% employee retention rate. That means that of the people that they have hired, at most 30 have left the company. They do not have a corporate culture that leads to resentment. There aren't even any interns to mess things up because...well.. Valve doesn't have interns. I know. I tried.

I am a rugby player and large t-shirts look like that and extra large look gay.

Extra large are for generally larger people and baggy around the waist. As a rugby player I am slimmer waist, and broad shoulders, neck and arms and chest. People who go gym and do a lot of the weights will be the same. Shirts look like that when you wear them. (And girls oggle you too)

No Caption Provided

Who knows, posted it because it will generate discussion. Could be real could be fake. logo's change as well. See lots of "fake" calls on this forum, other forums and youtube for new game stuff and other tech stuff many times over and more often then not now they turn out to be true.

In saying that we have seen several half life 3 logo's floating around already like the one on the left. (Which is a fake)

But if you did want to make an impact on the fact that the game is number 3 and not episode 3 your marketing may make a more of a statement of 3.

The episodes did not work and Episode 3 was rumoured to be in the cards after two. If you were going to do a whole new game you would really need to make a marketing campaign to make it clear that it is a whole new game and not that Episode 3 everyone has been talking about for ages.

It may be old But I did not realise in the car who was doing what.

It may be a bit of an older joke now but timing is key with jokes and they were spot on with this.

A more interesting thing that has come out of this is the fun reading people trying to explain Inception. Further, people trying to explain the southpark epsiode that takes the pee of inception to someone who has seen neither. I am not man enough to take that task on, lol.

I would make people go see Inception then watch the southpark episode and then lets talk, lol.

In any case it was a good call and it was more of the smart funny and I enjoyed the moment as I got it as they did it. Ryan must have thought it was good deep down, lol :)

Side Note:

Patrick is doing an awesome job of late. His articles are a great read, they are insightful and cover the stuff Giantbomb was lacking. Patrick in quick looks is great. Him and Brad doing a quicklook or involved in one work very well together, their different styles and how they bounce off each other is great. Podcasts - Great part of the podcast team as well now. I think he is a lot louder then the others and earlier podcasts he was a bit in your face but Ryan seems to have sussed the levels. Not Patricks fault for having a loud voice of course but you got to match the person, Jeff has quite a deep voice and can resonate your speakers soom for example.

Also:

The Skyrim Quick look snippet has gone viral on the net, lol.

In last weeks Podcast which I been catching up with on the way to work before this weeks Brad did something pretty awesome which went under appreciated a little by the others.

Ryan was talking about Assassins Creed Brotherhood and how you basically have a dream within a dream when you collect these disc's since it is through Desmond.

Brad very quickly did the "DOOOONG" from inception but then almost soon after did the bit from "dum dum dum" bit in Southpark as Ryan spoke:

Brad was pretty on to it and it made me laugh and deservers a clap, well played sir!

If they do ever do this, which I doubt, it will be a subscriber thing only, way too much work for them to do for free, just skip past it.

It is bloody easy. Garage band and other apps do this so easy. I have a number of simpler and even 2 man band (who run a site too) podcasts and they do it.

This really is a key feature for podcasts 50 minutes or longer.
