Key thin is its crap, the guys are working on it, its to be expected and for everyone to just try be helpful with some good feedback and issues constructively so the guys can fix it up. They want to!

Its a big ask this sort of thing :)

@ltsquigs (web designer/developer here) some of the big load stems from the

static.giantbomb.com server - guessing this is your CDN. Images and more over your font rendering is taking up a lot of load...

http://static.giantbomb.com/bundles/phoenixsite/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff
Is the killer, it is set to no-cache as well that defiantly could be done with caching and it does not look to be well optimised. You using every aspect of it or can you prune this down?

Seeing the API calls being quite hoggy at moment, guess you guys seeing this, but thought to pass on.

Everything from vidtech.cbsinteractive.com is pretty crappy right now

These swf's are the bad ones:

These really needed? All tracking stuff? The load from these is sometimes 10/14 seconds!

I am a web developer so It is not a bad thing. I would like a notification, or warning first though to be fair. Knowing how my clients are and what I have done with Adobe - yeah, bit of warning first over just doing it would be nice though.

It is fair enough, likely as Tycobb said - I not logged in to play battlefield 3 for a couple of months or ay other EA thing and also not changed my password for some time.

Anyone else get the EA/ Origin Password reset emails?

As part of our efforts to help ensure account security, the password for your account was recently reset. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and hope you will recognize we're taking this action to better protect your personal data.
At EA, we care about the safety of your personal information and while we're doing all we can do to keep your data secure, you can help as well; be sure to change your passwords at least a few times a year and consider using a unique password for all your important accounts.

Is this a regular thing?

Not really seen this before. If not then I think they clearly have a security concern and that means they have had an attempt on their data that was either somewhat successful OR not but they taking this action just in case.

Thoughts?

If toward my thinking.... Patrick? Do some investigating?

Going by the Windows 8 surface tablets and Phone events I am hoping a MS manned Xbox event could still be on the cards before the year is out with an announcement of the New Console. At E3 you would have goes on the new games coming o the console with this years event being only the announcement.

MS new approach to these things and the fail on Nintendo's part on how they have handled announcing the WIi U - I think that would be a good move.

Shifting games, delayed games, games that can not work on current consoles being shown off, price cut of the 360, sales finally slowing down..

I think this is on the cards.

This is probably talked about across the forums but I been at and Adobe event last week and catching up on E3 the past day or so.

Looking at games such as the new star wars game and watch_dogs, seeing a 360 controller for example on games that are not due till sometime next year makes you think.

Especially watch_dogs as the graphics look great, the animations look good when you look around there is a LOT going on. While the current game systems are being pushed to amazing levels right now and you can see from the last of us what the PS3 can do, some of these new announced games with no real ETA just have that little bit more to them, not just graphics but seemingly running tapping into more power. Especially with the 360 which amazes me what can be done considering the hardware now and its age but I get the feeling that we may be seeing some new MS console launch lineups in their early lives.

Well, I hope so, Next year really has to be the year of the new console for MS at the very least. Sony may have to show or say something but be another year away but MS could show off and launch for holiday season 2013. I think they have to more then anything else. I can see toward the end of this year a more downward slope in sales.

What are your thoughts?

I really am finding it hard to understand to be honest.

Sony wont have a console, just launched Vita and cant show off a new on yet, just not ready. They will show of games and go "NEW METAL GEAR" or some shock to yet another sequal you thought was done. I think it will be fairly week showing for Sony.

Nintendo will have WII U to show off, love it or hate it, it will be there in force.

A lot of 3rd party Mutli Console stuff will be cool, the new GTA for example. I think some long awaited and leaked/rumoured games will be shown of which will be nice but a lot of games are delayed till next year so even if you see them, LOOOONG wait.

Then you have Microsoft. I think Kinnect in its current form with games is on that down slope like the wii now, Most of the games they will show off have been at least revealed, get to see some game play... And what else?

To at least reveal the new Xbox would be the time to do so in my eyes otherwise it will be another Meh year for MS which can they really afford to do? Just when you look at the games this year, next year, how things are doing, price cuts on the machines.... If they do not at least show something off I would be suprised. I mean Wii U shown off last year, not out yet - Fair enough, was a bit early, but a new years launch, summer US launch 2013 or at least a Nintendo and have an E3 of games nearly ready to go next year and a reveal this year?

I just think if they show off games this Year MS will have a bit of a downslope on sales etc. Another Xbox live revision for example wont be much of anything, more apps for it wont be much of anything either.
