I saw that the Giant Bombcast clips Youtube channel is happening. My thinking is that if the podcast is already being marked and chopped up how much more effort would it be to add podcast chapters or Youtube chapters?

I don't know anything about the workflow involved in editing the podcast or about the effort or the ROI involved in doing the work to add chapters each week or whether it's worth it or not.

It would make it easier to go back and find certain discussions about certain games or topics. It would also make it easier to avoid spoilers. I don't know how many people avoid listening to the podcast to avoid spoilers.

Youtube chapters: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9884579?hl=en

Podcast chapters: https://lifehacker.com/how-to-add-chapters-to-your-podcast-1830071902

Do you care about either podcast or Youtube chapters?

"The NES and SNES Classic consoles will end production in the Americas soon, Nintendo has confirmed. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nintendo of America president reggie Fils-Aime stated no more of the mini-consoles will be produced, and that those already on store shelves will be the last ones sold."

I do not understand why they would cease production. Are they not selling any longer? Why stop selling a product that people want to buy?

Feature suggestion: Spoiler / hide game filter. Hide any articles/videos/podcasts that contain a certain game or phrase. If a big game is coming out and you want avoid any coverage of it but you still want to watch giant bomb content it could be useful. Another scenario is that viewers don't care about certain games and want to hide any coverage of them.

I had to make sure I wasn't on NeoGaf/Reset Era when I checked the thread title.

Japanese media has been like this forever, different cultures.

What does Neogaf/Reset Era mean? They're a games forum right?

Correct me if I'm wrong but are anime women in bikinis really a mainstream Japanese culture thing? I thought the whole Otaku thing was that it's a subculture. I don't live in Japan so I can't really say what constitutes "Japanese" "Culture".

@acharlie1377: Yeah, much of anime and JRPGS have turned into garbage as they've chosen to market to a certain demographic. Western games, movies and comics suffer from the same issue although perhaps not to the same extent. It's a sad fact but it's 2018 but people are still stuck in the 1800's or biblical times when it comes to not being shitty. If you look at American culture it's still fucked up. The response to recent current events in France show that sexism is very entrenched. Even supposedly progressive countries are still garbage.

People bring up violence as a counter-argument or present a false choice between guns and sexism but you can think that both glorifying violence and sexism is bad. It's possible to criticize both. Thankfully there are enough good games that you can ignore the ones who suck.

The Long, Weird Story Explaining Why I Bid $700 For a Stolen PSN Account

Justin has been using the same. PSN account for 13 years. Then, someone tricked Sony into giving it away. Here's how I tracked it down, and started negotiating for its release.

$1,200. That’s how much someone is asking for a PlayStation Network account I’ve been investigating for the past few weeks. “Secure,” the person calls it, claiming the account will “never be touched” by the original owner again. “He won't be getting it back,” they claim. More than a thousand dollars? That’s a little rich for my blood, and so I counteroffer: $700.

-Patrick Klepeck

Digital games are more convenient but if Sony doesn't care about the security of PSN accounts and digital games I feel like the only option is to go back to physical games.

It's happening. 10% by october. 25% by next year. Shipping costs from China are going up because everyone is trying to ship items before the Tariffs take effect.

Would having two different versions of Classic servers be an option? Classic and Classic Plus. I could see them not having enough resources to support more than one version of Vanilla though. I guess the amount developers they can allocate to Classic depends on how popular Classic will be.
