Originally Mickey Mouse's arch-enemy, Pete has served as an antagonist in numerous Disney cartoons. In the realm of video games he is most commonly known as the henchman of Maleficent in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Overview
Pete is a villainous, anthropomorphic cat that first appeared alongside Mickey Mouse (Character) in the black-and-white animated short Steamboat Willie. He has gone on to play antagonist roles in numerous other Disney (Franchise) productions. Despite his conniving ways, however, his plans are generally short-sighted and easily thwarted. He has appeared in numerous Disney-themed games over the years, beginning with the Capcom (Company) NES title Mickey Mousecapade (Game). More recently, Pete has made recurring appearances in the Kingdom Hearts (Franchise) series as a lieutenant to the evil sorceress Maleficent (Character).
