The twentieth annual PAX West took place August 30-September 2, 2024 at the Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.

Overview

PAX West 2024 wasthe seventeeth Penny Arcade Expo to take place at the Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Washington and the twentieth PAX in the Seattle area. It was the fifty-fifth PAX overall since the show began in 2004.

The PAX West 2024 Storytime Session (keynote) speaker was the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer.

Registration for PAX West 2024 began on May 30, 2024 at noon EST.

PAX Rising

PAX Rising celebrates the best up-and-coming indie games. It started in 2010 when it was known as The PAX 10. PAX sets up a special booth where all of the winning games can be played.

Previous games featured in The PAX 10 include Celeste, Ridiculous Fishing, Rogue Legacy, Bastion, Audiosurf, Johann Sebastian Joust, Machinarium, Fez, Darkest Dungeon, Night in the Woods, and The Maw.

The Omegathon

The Omegathon is an annual tournament held at PAX that pits 20 randomly selected attendees in a three day marathon of games that span the spectrum of the gaming universe. After each round, some participants are eliminated. Each year, the final game is held secret until moments before the final two Omeganauts enter battle.
