The third annual PAX East took place from April 6-8, 2012 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jordan Mechner

The third annual PAX East (eleventh PAX overall) was the second to take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston (Location), Massachusetts (Location). The event took place on Easter weekend, which was not Penny Arcade's first choice, but was the only available weekend at the time.

Jordan Mechner (Person), most famous for being the creator of Prince of Persia, was the keynote speaker to open PAX East 2012.

The Boston Indie Showcase

Unlike the first two years of PAX East, the 2012 Boston Indie Showcase accepted entries from all regions, not just New England. But, in another change from years' passed, the BIS featured only mobile games (i.e. iOS, Android (Platform), and Windows Phone (Platform)). Similar to prior years, teams/companies submitting a game must have fifteen or fewer employees and have no publisher agreement.
