Need for Speed Heat is a racing game developed by EA Gothenburg (Company) (formerly Ghost Games) and published by Electronic Arts (Company) for PC (Platform), Xbox One (Platform), and PlayStation 4 (Platform).

Development

On May 29, 2019, EA representatives reconfirmed that a new Need for Speed game would be shipping in 2019. The detail-free announcement was mostly done as a preemptive move to head off questions about the game not appearing at E3 2019 (Concept).

On August 14, 2019, EA officially announced the game as Need for Speed Heat along with a trailer featuring the series' typical racers versus police theme.
