Nazca Corporation is a game development company most well-known for the creation of the Metal Slug (Franchise) franchise. The company was founded in 1994, although the team had been previously together as a part of Irem Corp. (Company). There, they had been involved in development of several arcade games, but grew tired of the company as activity waned. In 1996, after releasing their second game, Metal Slug, Nazca was acquired and absorbed into SNK Playmore.
