    Overview

Lucha libre (roughly "free fight" in Spanish) is a term used mostly in Mexico to describe a form of wrestling using techniques mostly popular in Spanish cultures. Lucha libre is professional wrestling throughout Spain, Mexico, and most Spanish-speaking countries. Lucha libre garnered attention in the United States when ECW hired several luchadors, including Rey Mysterio (originally Rey Mysterio, Jr.), La Parka, and Psicosis. WCW Monday Nitro would later feature many of the same luchadors on their program.
