Loaded, known in Japan as Blood Factory, is a sci-fi top-down shooter developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Interplay for the Sony PlayStation in North America on December 15, 1995, with a European release (by Gremlin Interactive) and Japanese release throughout 1996. It also received a Sega Saturn release for all regions throughout 1996. Playing similar to other top-down shooters like Smash TV (Game), Loaded puts players in control of one of six psychotic criminals as they run and gun their way out of the brutal prison planet Raulf and chase down its cyborg warden (the F.U.B., or "Fat Ugly Boy"). Along with its fast-paced gameplay, two-player co-operative play, and pre-rendered 3D graphics, the game is known for its over-the-top violence and twisted humor. It features character designs and illustrations from multiple comic book illustrators, and some music tracks from the alt rock band Pop Will Eat Itself. It later received a sequel in late 1996, titled Re-Loaded.
