Kamen Rider is a superhero-themed TV show in Japan that features a group of superheroes riding fancy motorcycles and wearing belts known as Kamen Riders.

Kamen Riders are usually people who can transform into rider forms with technological/magical belts. When in rider forms, Kamen Riders have various superpowers to fight monsters. Different Kamen Riders have different sources of power. Riders in the Showa era usually are humans modified as cyborgs and thus gain powers. Riders in the Heisei era have many different types of powers, including magics, superpowers, genetic mutation, and cyborgs.

Most Kamen Riders' rider forms are creating armors covering their bodies after using the belts to trigger transformations. Some Kamen Riders are inhuman life forms, and thus their rider forms are their real forms. Cyborg Kamen Riders usually turn their bodies into robotic bodies as rider forms.
