Jurassic Park is a video game adaptation of the movie of the same name that released alongside a group of others from different developer and publisher teams shortly after the movie's 1993 release. This version was created by Sega and an internal studio of theirs, Sega Multimedia Studio, and takes place after the movie with the protagonist being an InGen employee sent to recover the company's product: dinosaur eggs. The game uses timing-based mini-games and FMV clips to direct the action and provides the player with a twelve hour time-limit: failing to reach the end of the game before it expires will lead to a game over. The player's main point of contact is Emily Shimura, an InGen computer and security expert, but they can also find information on specific dinosaur breeds and the dangers they present through kiosks placed around the island that are narrated by paleontologist Dr. Robert T. Bakker (a character based on whom shows up in the second movie).
