A feature film based on Flash Gordon, directed by Mike Hodges, was released in 1980. It was an Anglo-Italian production helmed by Dino De Laurentiis. Flash Gordon is perhaps best known for its soundtrack performed by the British rock group Queen, as well as the infamous line "Gordon's alive?" spoken by Brian Blessed's character Prince Vultan.

    Trivia
