The fourth entry in the Elite franchise, from the series' co-creator David Braben and Frontier Developments.
Pioneer is a free, open source space exploration game, heavily inspired by David Braben's Elite games.
Critically acclaimed open source interpretation of space sim Elite released for the Mac/PC. Uses surrounding canon of the Elite universe and modern technology to greatly expand on original vision.
A notable clone of the original space trading sim.
The third title in the Elite series of space strategic combat games, Frontier was notoriously marred by several bugs which spoiled an otherwise enjoyable game.
Frontier: Elite II was a ground-breaking game that featured fully open-ended gameplay without any scripted missions, nor an actual ending. Trade, fight, transport passengers, or engage in piracy as you explore a realistically modelled galaxy.
Elite Plus is an enhanced version of the 1984 game Elite, released for the PC and PC-98 in 1991.
Created by Ian Bell and David Braben, this space trading / combat game was revolutionary; combining wireframe 3D graphics with open-ended gameplay to create a distinct gaming experience. Originally released for the BBC Microcomputer in 1984.
